An
urban version of slicing and dicing is evident in the show's architectural
images. Stefan Rethfeld's slide display and an aerial video by David
Lamelas record the city's countless abandoned buildings and demolition
sites. Other photos illustrate projects by young architects like Eike
Becker and Sauerbruch & Hutton. The best urban renewal idea comes
from Raumlabor-Berlin and the inventive Jan Liesegang, who have
settled on treehouses, just the thing for a country obsessed with environmental
concerns.
